If you set goals that are just not realistic, you will just be disappointed and frustrated, and your weight loss efforts will surley fail..

Realisticlly no matter how you do it, you will only be able to lose about two to three pounds per week. So make sure you set your goals in the appropriate manner. If you want to lose fifty pounds, it will take about five to six months to make that happen. Make sure to set small and obtainable ones, so that when you complete them, you will feel better moving forward. This is one of the biggest secrets for successful weight loss.
